Don’t worry I am not referring to anything sexual, strictly health.
Many of my clients as well as many people today have sleep issues. Whether it is lack if sufficient sleep, lack of quality sleep, lack of sleep altogether, and etc. This poses a problem to the body’s natural circadian rhythm Andes typically directly correlated to ones health and energy.
Poor sleep can result in holding on to body fat, reduction in energy, increase risk of illnesses, alter hormones, and age us faster. Good sleep on the other hand can improve ones focus, happiness and energy, recovery of the body and mind,and lastly stay healthy.
Sleep is clearly just as important to our bodies, and exercising and eating right especially when it comes to ones performance, health, and even body composition.
So what is good sleep?
For the general public, 7-9 hours of sleep is necessary for the body to perfume properly and at its best.
Personal tip: try to wind down before going to sleep. I personally will typically take a shower and read for 30 min before going to sleep. Or sometimes I will blog, but I’ll have my iPad dimmed to reduce the amount of light entering my eyes. Food would typically have been digested 1-2 hours before I do this so that my body isn’t still working too hard while I sleep.
